Highlights

Why MADRIX 5?

  • 2D pixel mapping

Luminaires are mapped pixel by pixel according to their real layout; the image stays sharp even at the lowest resolution.

  • True 3D voxel mapping

LEDs arranged along the X, Y and Z axes are processed as a volume; the effect passes through an LED cube or chandelier.

  • Live audio analysis

It captures the rhythm and frequencies of the music; the light show is generated in real time, in sync with the music.

  • VJ-style operation

Two decks and a crossfader; you see the effect in three separate live previews before taking it on stage.

  • Timeline and media

Build the show on the timeline; play images, video and text, including the video's audio.

  • Industry standards

Art-Net, sACN, DMX512, KiNET and Philips hue output; direct SPI with NEBULA.

  • 64-bit processing engine

Smooth frame rates even in large installations; the luminaire list is imported from a CSV file.

  • Sync with external systems

Remotely controlled via MIDI, OSC, DMX input, HTTP and timecode (SMPTE, MIDI, Art-Net).

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about MADRIX 5.

If you can't find the answer to your question, write to our technical team; let's evaluate it together for your project.

Which license should I get for MADRIX 5?

The license is chosen according to the number of DMX channels you will control. An RGB pixel uses 3 channels: a facade of 2,000 RGB pixels comes to 6,000 channels, and the 6,144-channel entry license is enough. Send us your project's pixel count and let's determine the license together.

What is the MADRIX KEY, and is it tied to a computer?

The MADRIX KEY is a metal USB key that carries the license. The license is loaded onto the key, not the computer; MADRIX 5 runs licensed on any computer you plug the key into. Online activation is needed only once, on first use.

Can I upgrade my license later?

Yes. Every license from start to ultimate can be upgraded to a higher one. An upgrade license is purchased and loaded online onto the same key; no new key is needed.

Can I try MADRIX 5 before buying?

Yes. The trial version can be downloaded free from madrix.com; you can prepare your project and try the effects in the preview. If you want to finish programming before installation, there is also a preprogrammer license that gives no output but removes the trial limitations.

Does MADRIX 5 run on a Mac?

No. MADRIX 5 runs only on 64-bit Windows 11. In permanent installations, MADRIX ARCEDIA, or MADRIX AURA, which plays the show without a computer, can be used instead of a computer.
