Pixel-Controlled Linear Luminaires

Linear LED luminaires that control facade lines, bridges and floor cornices pixel by pixel. Slim MidiPix and wide StriPix housings with 5, 8 or 16 pixels per meter; each in single-color, dynamic white, RGB and RGBW light, IP68 and IK10 rated.

One meter, three resolutions

  2. P8 8 pixels/m · 125 mm

  3. P16 16 pixels/m · 62.5 mm

Selection guide

Which resolution for which facade?

Viewing distance determines the pixel density; how distinct the line of light needs to be determines the housing width.

Resolution Pixel length LED / m Power (RGB · RGBW) Viewing distance Luminaires
P5 5 pixels/m 200 mm 35 9 · 12 W/m FarTall blocks, long bridge and tower lines
P8 8 pixels/m 125 mm 48 12 · 16 W/m MediumHotel, public and residential facades, bridges

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about pixel luminaires.

Write to our technical team to choose the right luminaire for your project together.

What is a pixel-controlled linear luminaire?

It is a linear LED luminaire divided along its length into evenly spaced pixels, each with its color and brightness controlled separately. So a facade line is not just lit; light scenarios that flow, rise and change color along the line are created.

What is the difference between MidiPix and StriPix?

The LED, control and protection features are the same; the difference is the housing. MidiPix is a slim 19 mm wide profile, while StriPix is a wider 24.5 mm housing that makes the line of light look fuller.

What do P5, P8 and P16 mean?

The number is the pixel count per meter: a pixel is 200 mm long on P5, 125 mm on P8 and 62.5 mm on P16. P5 is recommended for large facades viewed from afar, P8 for medium-scale facades and bridges, and P16 for surfaces viewed up close and media surfaces.

Which control protocols does it work with?

All luminaires are made with SPI control as standard and DMX512 as an option; they work with standard SPI and DMX512 pixel drivers and with existing DMX infrastructures.

Are project-specific lengths and housing colors made?

Yes. Besides standard lengths, project-specific lengths are made; the housing can be natural anodized, RAL 7016, RAL 9005, RAL 9006 or RAL 9016. Mounting bracket, housing and diffuser options are also determined by the project.
