If there are hundreds of luminaires on a facade, you should not have to climb scaffolding to see which one is overheating, which one’s address has shifted, or which one is about to fail. RDM-enabled luminaires can report their own status; MADRIX RADAR collects this information, makes sense of it and alerts you when needed.
Saves time during installation
Instead of addressing the luminaires one by one before mounting, address them from the computer after they are in place. RADAR finds all RDM devices on the network and automatically patches the devices in a universe or across the whole address range; you arrange the order by drag and drop. In highlight mode the selected luminaire lights up full white, so you immediately see which one it is on site.
Lowers maintenance costs in operation
RADAR automatically monitors temperature, voltage, operating hours and status messages every day of the year. When a value goes out of range, it notifies you in the software, sends an email or runs a PowerShell script. With the big data license, the data history is stored; a device about to fail is replaced before it fails, and the maintenance budget is planned in advance.
License model
All RDM devices connected to MADRIX STELLA and STELLA 8 are unlocked free of charge in RADAR. On other brands’ RDM nodes, the free fragment license unlocks parameter settings; for all functions including monitoring, fusion small (64), fusion medium (512) and fusion large (4,096) licenses are used depending on the number of devices. We explain how RDM works on the DMX line in our DMX512 guide.
