MegaPoint Hospital Facade Lighting
At MegaPoint Hospital in Kahramanmaraş, we drew the floor lines with MidiPix P8 and built an LED surface showing imagery and messages on the side volume with VMesh P16 media mesh.

A hospital’s facade should inspire confidence rather than be ornate. At MegaPoint Hospital we split the light into two separate tasks: on one side, describing the building with calm, orderly lines; on the other, building a surface that can speak to the city.

MidiPix P8s following the floor lines wrap the building in horizontal lines of light. The lines can rest in a single color or change color on special days; but their default state is a serene look befitting a healthcare building.

We built an LED media surface on the building’s side volume with VMesh P16 media mesh. Sixteen pixels per meter give enough resolution for imagery viewed from afar, and because the gaps between the bars stay open, the facade is not covered by day. The surface shows the flag on national holidays, symbols on awareness days and colorful animations on ordinary nights. The facade has thus become, beyond lighting, a means of communicating with the city.
