Pixel-Controlled Point Luminaires
Pixel luminaires that turn a facade into a grid of light made of dots, with every dot controlled individually. In PixiDot, each dot is an independent pixel with 6 LEDs; dot spacing of 12.5, 25 or 50 cm is selected, and it is made in single-color, dynamic white, RGB and RGBW light, IP68 and IK10 rated.

Selection guide
Which spacing for which facade?
The denser the dots, the finer the pattern; the spacing is determined by the size of the facade and the viewing distance.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions about point luminaires.
Write to our technical team to choose the right luminaire for your project together.
What is a pixel-controlled point luminaire (dot LED)?
It is an LED luminaire placed on a facade dot by dot, with each dot controlled as a separate pixel. Together the dots form a grid of light; color transitions, flowing patterns and animations are played on this grid on the facade.
How is the spacing between dots chosen on PixiDot?
Standard spacings are 12.5 cm, 25 cm and 50 cm; it is also made with other spacings to suit the project. A dense spacing is chosen for low facades viewed up close, a sparse one for tall buildings viewed from afar.
How many LEDs are in one dot?
Each dot has 6 LEDs and is controlled as a single pixel. The UV-resistant polycarbonate diffuser makes the light look homogeneous and soft.
Which control protocols does it work with?
It is made with SPI as standard and DMX512 as an option. The power supply is 24 V DC, optionally 48 V DC.
How durable is it outdoors?
It is IP68 rated and IK10 impact resistant. The UV-protected ABS housing and polycarbonate diffuser retain their color and transmittance on facades exposed to sun and rain.
