StriPix P8

StriPix P8 is an IP68-rated, pixel-controlled linear LED luminaire with 8 pixels per meter and a 24.5 mm wide housing that draws full, smooth lines of light on facades. It was used on the facades of Safat Basra, Hilton DoubleTree Manisa and the Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Building.

Overview

StriPix P8 is a wide-bodied, pixel-controlled linear LED luminaire with 8 independent pixels per meter. Each 125 mm pixel consists of 6 LEDs; the 24.5 mm wide diffuser spreads the light over a wide surface, giving the line a full appearance.

The mid-resolution member of the family, P8 balances smooth animation with a strong line. On medium and large-scale hotel, public and residential facades, it reads with the same clarity both up close and from afar.

A line proven in the field

StriPix P8 turns the horizontal bands on the facade of the Safat Basra residential project in Basra into continuous lines of light; in Manisa it draws the facade grid of Hilton DoubleTree Hotel and the vertical and horizontal lines of the Metropolitan Municipality Building.

Durable and flexible

With an anodized aluminum housing, UV-resistant polycarbonate diffuser and IP68 and IK10 protection, it operates between −30 °C and +65 °C. SPI is standard, DMX512 optional; it is powered at 24 V DC or 48 V DC. Standard lengths of 125–2000 mm, project-specific lengths and lockable mounting brackets allow quick installation.

Try the colors

In the StriPix P8 luminaire, every 125 mm is one pixel. Each of the 16 pixels in a two-meter luminaire is controlled separately: choose an effect and watch how the colors flow along the luminaire.

RGB Color

In RGB StriPix P8, every 125 mm pixel shows its own color. The wide housing carries colors as a thick, vivid line; color flows and special-day shows read strongly even from a medium distance.

How do I choose between StriPix P8 and MidiPix P8?

Both have 8 pixels per meter and the same LED and control structure. MidiPix is a slim 19 mm profile, StriPix a wider 24.5 mm housing. MidiPix is chosen where it should disappear inside a profile, StriPix where a full line distinct from afar is wanted.

How many meters of StriPix P8 does one DMX universe control?

One universe controls 64 meters in the MC version, about 21 meters in the DW and RGB versions, and 16 meters in the RGBW version.

What are the housing dimensions and standard lengths?

The cross-section is 24.5 × 32.4 mm; the height is 53 mm with the mounting bracket. Standard lengths are 125, 250, 500, 1000 and 2000 mm, and the overall length with end caps is about 10 mm longer. Project-specific lengths are also made.

What are the power consumption and power supply?

Power per meter is 12 W for MC, DW and RGB, and 16 W for RGBW; the power supply is 24 V DC as standard, 48 V DC optional.
