STELLA 8 was designed for large DMX systems that must run without interruption. Each of the eight ports can be set as an output or input; incoming data is merged, duplicated or converted to another protocol. All of this is done from the device’s web interface, even from a phone.
Building a redundant system
Thanks to source priorities and backup strategies, if the main control source is lost, STELLA 8 switches to the next one; if no source remains, it plays patterns or single-frame snapshots stored on the device. The facade never goes dark. The power supply can be redundant too: the DC terminal, USB-C and PoE can be connected at the same time.
Network traffic and RDM
1 Gbit/s Ethernet eliminates bottlenecks in networks with many universes. RDM and Art-Net packets are sent simultaneously; luminaires can be configured and monitored while the show runs. With MADRIX RADAR, all RDM devices connected to STELLA 8 are unlocked free of charge.
