We drew the lines of the Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Building with StriPix P8 and painted its surfaces with ColloRado RGB wall washers; the building switches to the colors of the flag on holiday nights and to calm tones on ordinary nights.
A municipality building is the city’s home; at night, too, it should show that it belongs to the city. We built the lighting of the Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Building with this idea in mind: dignified on ordinary nights, part of the celebration on national holidays and the city’s special days.
We drew the vertical and horizontal lines of the facade with StriPix P8s, so the building’s orderly, grid-like structure reads at night too. ColloRado RGB wall washers fill the surfaces with homogeneous color. Because lines and surfaces are managed together, the building can switch to the flag in red and white, to a calm look in blue tones, or to the city’s event colors.
The Hilton DoubleTree Hotel right next to the municipality building is also our project. The light language of the two buildings was planned together; seen from the air at night, a complementary pair appears in the city center.
